Looking for something beyond a weekly yoga class? Are you ready to teach yoga? Have you acquired a thirst for more knowledge and a deeper understanding of this practice called yoga? Are you interested in learning more but not necessarily becoming a yoga teacher? Are you already a yoga teacher but are looking for one-on-one mentoring and guidance? Heart Center Yoga Training and Apprenticeship Program has it all.
Overview of Program
3 semesters teacher training and one semester of apprenticeship teaching- students may choose one or all semesters- all four semesters must be completed to earn Registered Yoga Teacher eligibility with Yoga Alliance.

Curriculum
Cumulative and integrated, our curriculum is woven around the spiritual backbone of yoga: yama and niyama along with the core philosophical principles of living-your-yoga off the mat and beyond the body. In-depth hands-on anatomy study based on Paul Grilley's teachings of optimal alignment and skeletal variations. Integrated chakra theory and energetics of asana in addition to pranayama, pratyahara, meditation and the 8-limbed path.
Semester Requirements
Attendence in weekly mentor class; monthly group experience; bi-monthly private sessions with mentors; required readings; prompted journaling; daily yoga sadhana (practice); written assignments; final projects
