Heather With my background in teaching and body movement, doing yoga was love at first asana. I really became devoted to my personal practice as I went through my pregnancy. I have completed a 200 training program with Neighborhood Yoga, a Yoga Alliance certified school. I have been teaching since January 2009, and I love learning about yoga from a new point of view. My style is flow intensive, with quiet moments for reflection. |

Katheryn Although practicing yoga throughout most of her adult life, Katheryn became particularly interested in yoga after her breast cancer diagnosis in 2003. Trying to find, understand and live with her "new normal", she returned to her mat with a new found appreciation for her body. Her classes reflect her desire to bring balance into her life physically, emotionally and spiritually. Katheryn invites anyone with "New Beginnings" to join her class, that is, recovering from illness, entering a new decade (simply aging), facing the empty nest or just wanting to enhance your other activities. Katheryn has earned her YogaFit Level 1 Certification and has studied with Stephaine Keach of Asheville Yoga to receive her Restorative and Yin Yoga Certifications. Being a nurse also helps Katheryn understand the importance of total body wellness. The only requirement is to be able to Breathe! |

Sally My yoga practice began at birth and I continue to explore and learn.
I am a photographer and artist with a strong background in dance, running, swimming, cycling, and aerobics. For years I alternated between ballet class, occasional yoga, swimming, and
marathon running- finding a yogic balance. Eventually my asana practice deepened and for the past 12 years I have been devoting my energy towards the study of yoga more exclusively. My teachers are numerous and include my husband, my daughter, my dear friends, and the yoga community. I completed the first Heartcenter Yoga 200 hour (Yoga Alliance) teacher training in May 2009 and have begun the 500 hour program at Asheville Yoga. My hope is teach classes that are energetic, playful, mindful and rooted in compassion, and that I continue to grow more open to the infinite possibilities
in us all. |
